ReVox G36
|
The G36 uses snap-action electromechanical switches for reel motor control and switching of the brake & pinch roller solenoids.
This was advanced technology on a 'home' recorder in 1965, but can be replaced with a more sophisticated system.
This upgraded tape drive control will include the following features:
- microprocessor logic control
- contactless electronic switching of reel motors by thyristor
- electronic braking of reels by torque pulsing of winding motors
- tape motion sensing to prevent tape spillage or breakage
- edit/shuttle mode (non-latching FF & REW)
- auto rewind at tape end
- continuous loop playback
- IR remote control + ReVox Easyline
- timer start
- library rewind mode (slow rewind for extra neat tape packing)
- audio mute during fast winding
What have I left out ?
